As I write this we have yet to see any real snow. I know this disappoints the skiers and snowboarders, but personally I am loving it! I still have nightmares about the snow pack from last year. I was in Boston recently attending the Symphony with my Dad and there were literally people eating outside on the patios on Boylston Street. This is my kind of winter!
Besides a mild winter so far, what else will 2012 bring? I see much more optimism and confidence in the eyes of the consumers. There is pent-up demand among buyers who are tired of waiting, and as rents continue to rise they are realizing that with today's low rates it is actually less expensive to buy for the first time in decades! For more, check out this post which includes a graph showing the rate of rent increases. And keep in mind, potential buyers are putting a lot of value on new construction or homes that have been maintained and updated in a sensible way. Their goal is to move in and not do much work at all, so updates and staging are more important than ever.
Ryan and I didn't get that memo--we continue to work on Someday Farm! But I am THRILLED to report we moved in before Thanksgiving and it was truly amazing and special to spend the holidays there. I hope you'll come by and say hello soon!
Finally, I am honored to report that 2011 was our strongest year to date! Thank you for your continued support and confidence in us. And I know it's only going to get better. Remember, we are here to help you achieve YOUR dreams and goals, so please let us know what we can do.
