As the snow banks melt and the real estate market thaws, buyers are streaming into open houses and we're busy booking closings! As they begin to settle in to their new homes, here are some great tips I discovered on House Logic.
And some of these are good to consider even if you've been in your home for a long time, particularly item #2 about checking for plumbing leaks. After the water damage issues we all encountered over the winter, we definitely don't want to experience any more problems due to water -- and the suggestion about the water meter is brilliant!
And I can say from experience, it's good advice to get familiar with the location and workings of your fuse box and the water shutoff valve BEFORE you have an emergency!
