As much as I love the summer, there are times when I begin to run out of fresh ideas of things to do. So I had my team do some searching, and here are some of our favorites for the next week:
Fri, August 21
Evening Hayride and Campfire at Drumlin Farm, 6 to 7:30pm
Watch for birds flying at dusk and evening fireflies with the whole family on board the hay wagon as it meanders through the meadows. Stop at the campfire for stories, s'mores, and a special night-time visitor and enjoy the glorious colors of sunset.
Drumlin Farm, 208 South Great Road, Lincoln, MA
Advance registration required. Fees and more information: (781) 259-2200
Sat, August 22
Story Walk at Walden Pond State Reservation, 10am to 12 noon
Attendees will step inside a story book with an interpretive guide as they stroll past book passages placed on the Pond Path and will meet in front of the Thoreau House Replica near the main parking lot. Attendees may stop by any time in the 2-hour window.
