As much as I love living in Bedford, one of the downsides for many years was having to fight traffic and pay outlandish prices for parking in Boston to enjoy a nice dinner someplace that wasn't a chain restaurant. While that's been slowly changing, we seem to have reached a critical mass with a wave of creative chefs fleeing the high rents and cramped spaces. This recent article from The Boston Globe highlights many exciting new places either recently opened or in the works in Burlington. The article mentions Osteria Nino, Chopps American Bar and Grill, and Papa Razzi Metro.
Also mentioned is The Bancroft, one of our team favorites. They have a creative drink menu (as evidenced by the "Stag Haus" dressed up with flowers from Gibbet Hill Farm to the left!) and great ambiance with a seasonal farm-to-table menu using produce (as well as flowers!) from Gibbet Hill Farm in Groton. And then we like to head over to Kings for karaoke -- it's really an awesome adult playground!
Other favorites are Del Friscos, Tuscan Kitchen, Tavern in the Square, and Paul's Bakery. And Becky's Dad says "the greatest short ribs around" are at Redstone American Grill. And this weekend our very own Bedford Farms opens it's newest store in the 3rd Ave complex, with a special flavor created just for the occasion -- be sure to stop by and try it out! So many options and you don't have to go to Boston to have a good time! As a team, sometimes we Uber it on a Thursday night for a night out. How about you? Have you found any new and interesting great restaurants or bars in the local area? If so, please share!
