A new tradition I've seen popping up in more and more communities are Turkey Trot 5Ks or fun runs on or near Thanksgiving morning. I love these opportunities to gather with friends and neighbors, hang out while the turkey's in the oven, and get in some exercise. It feels good to support local charities and spread the abundance of the season, with the added bonus that I can enjoy my slice of pumpkin pie without the guilt!
Here are some of the races happening in Bedford and other local towns. A more comprehensive list is available here. Unless otherwise noted, the races take place on Thursday, November 26.
What about you? Will you take part in one of these races? Or do you have other favorite community activities for Thanksgiving morning, day or weekend? Please share and wishing you a day of togetherness and abundance. Gobble, gobble!
