You know those nights when you just don't want to cook and you want good food without a lot of fuss in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere? The place that's been filling that need for me and other members of the team lately is the Red Heat Tavern recently opened in Bedford Marketplace. And The Boston Globe agrees!
I've visited three times and found the food very good. I've tried a couple of their steak entrees which were very nicely done and had a great bowl with chicken and veggies the last time I was there. And the waitress was awesome! It kinda reminds me of Cheers -- I ALWAYS see someone I know -- a great asset to Bedford!
Amanda Howard, Realtor and Inside Sales Agent at Suzanne & Company shares that it has become her "go-to" restaurant because of the variety and menu options -- "The Farmhouse Burger is ah-mazing. Also, my husband LOVES the beer selection there. It's very kid friendly. My kids were greeted at the door with crayons and a coloring page. My 4-year-old daughter likes it because she can "order her own" food. There are pictures and she can just point to what she wants. The kids menu selections are pretty basic -- chicken fingers, hot dog, mac and cheese, etc., however, they do offer a great variety of healthy sides of fruits and vegetables. Finally, there's lots of seating, the place smells great, and we've never experienced a wait to be seated."
Director of Team Operations Becky Gould adds, "I agree -- the food is really good for the price. I highly recommend the turkey tips, steak tip salad and the Farmhouse burger! The nachos were also a huge hit."
